Marina Coast Water District Payment Options
Online bill pay is only one of several ways to pay your bill. You can also pay by phone, through your bank, mail by check, or pay in person.
Online Payments (MCWD)
Use your debit or credit card and banking information. A credit card convenience fee will be charged.
Over-the-Phone Payments
Make payments by phone using your MCWD account number and debit or credit card. Also available in Spanish.
Auto-Pay
Now available with your banking information and debit or credit card through our new online portal.
Bank Bill Pay
Easily pay your bill through your bank's online bill pay service.
Check Payments
We still accept check payments by mail at 920 2nd Avenue, Suite B.
Pay in Person
We accept checks and cash by mail or in person at 920 2nd Avenue, Suite B, or at any Walmart via CheckFreePay.
Note: There is a 2.99% charge for any payments made by Debit or Credit Cards, whether over the phone or via the online portal. There are no charges when you set up online payments to your checking account (ACH Check), pay through your bank, or pay in person by check or cash in our office. There is a flat $1.50 fee when using CheckFreePay at Walmart.

NEW: Convenient Way to Pay Your Bill at Walmart with CheckFreePay
MCWD customers can now pay their water bills in person with cash or debit card at any Walmart location nationwide using the CheckFreePay service.
With CheckFreePay, we're offering our customers more flexibility and choice in how they pay their water bills. This service is especially helpful for residents who prefer to pay with cash or a debit card. Or just want a quick, in-person option near their daily errands.

How It Works
- Visit any Walmart in the U.S. and bring your phone number, valid ID, and most recent statement.
- At the customer service desk or Money Center, present your phone number and ID. Important: The 9-digit remittance zip code (945720008) printed at the bottom of the customer's bill must be entered (all 9 digits without the dash).
- The Walmart associate will pull up the most recent bill amount and confirm if you want to pay that amount or enter a different amount, and ask you to confirm your address.
- Pay with cash or debit card (Walmart does not accept credit cards for this service).
- A $1.50 Walmart service fee applies. There is no cost to or from the District.
- You will receive two receipts, one from Walmart and one from CheckFreePay (Marina Coast Water District
- Payments are processed by the next business day.

What to Do If Your Bill Is Past Due
Payment plans are also available for customers who are having difficulty paying their bill. Please call (831) 384-6131 or (831) 883-5900, if you need to set up a payment plan or if you just need a couple of extra days to pay your bill.

The Water Shutoff Protection Act (California Senate Bill 998) requires agencies like MCWD to provide customers with a written collection policy on shutting off water service if bills are not paid after receiving a 48-hour door tag.
