Employees Plant 1000+ Seedlings on Earth Day
With Help From City Officials, Non-profits, and Marina Volunteers
On #EarthDay 2023, the Marina Coast Water District staff and city officials planted over 1,000 native plants near our corporate yard office. In our second year participating in Earth Day, we were inspired by the 2023 national theme "to act, innovate, and implement in partnership for the planet."
Thank you, Marina Mayor Bruce Carlos Delgado and Citizens for Sustainable Marina who grew, delivered, and led the planting. And to Habitat Stewardship Project Monterey Bay who brought tools and worked hard alongside our team, thank you for your support.
We were honored by the Mayor's words, "MCWD really shines on Earth Day and Every Day!" as we continue to work together to improve our environment.
